I'm a manly man and I've had great experiences at this upscale salon. My lady friend goes there as well and loves it.

For you carless downtowners....take the Montgomery/Westside bus from Grove PATH to the intersection of Montgomery and Bergen, aka McGinley Square. Walk 2 blocks south on bergen to find Imago. If you drive, they've got a parking lot!

It's a beautiful salon and day spa. The upstairs spa area is very calming, you feel a million miles away from Jersey City.

I went there for an event recently and had a mini facial, parafin hand treatment and a blow out. The staff there is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend Imago.

I started going here maybe about a year ago after some dissppointment with a couple downtown salons. I really like them. Barbara cuts my hair, she's very good.

They just recently (in the past couple months) opened up a day spa at that location, so maybe that's why the mini facial was complimentary.

I'm new the area, and about a month ago I was out with some friends at The Merchant and came across Imago's business card. Now I've been seeing the same hair person for 10 years but since i moved here from cali that was a no no. I noticed downtown didn't have tooo many places with hair . Anywho it's an Aveda concept salon. Very impressive since it's not in the nicest of areas, but the decor was quite simple and nice. I got my trim and color from this young girl forgot her name, anyways she mixed a great color and has an awesome technique with her blow out. I'm assuming that they are very knew because I was given a 15 min complimentary facial, and I loved it. The facial girl was really funny and seemed like she knew what she was doing. I made an appointment for next week, so I'll let you know how it goes. I'm only writing a review for people who can't find a good hair place, that's close.
