Bored and at work! I like everyone else is sick of the young "gangstas" hanging around wreaking havoc on the community with no consequences. I live on Wayne st there have been a lot of problems recently I am kind of venting.

Criminal offenders are frequent curfew violators should be placed under house arrest with bracelets and monetary fines should be levied against the parents, these are minors they are not legally culpable but given this they should have guardians, if their guardians are unwilling to control them they should be motivated by a financial stick.

3 words: more curfew vans. gets these shits off the street.

i was surprised to hear that they have so few that usually once they fill it up they go back to the station where they have to wait until the kids get picked up b/4 they can go back out. Some kids folks are MIA, so they end up waiting around all night. Why someone ELSE besides the driver of the van can't wait w/ the kid was never fully explained.

just seems more money needs to be put into getting these kids off the street b/4 they cause the trouble. i'm always amazed to see 12 year olds out when i'm stumbling home drunk at 2am. in my day our parents inflicted curfews, apparently in these days we need the gov't to do the parents job. perhaps the money can be raised straight from the fines the parents should be paying when their "little angels" break the law.

SpeakNJ videotaped Police Chief Tom Comey speaking before the NAACP about crime. Comey said crime is down but he also said, "Youth crime is killing us." He makes some interesting statements on the justice system. The show starts tonight at 9:00 PM on Channel 51. It will also appear Monday at 10:30 PM on 51. It will air for the next several weeks.
