I looked there at one point in time and the person renting the apt said that a number of years ago there was a fire that gutted out multiple brownstones. A builder then bought and consolidated all of the units

After the recent multipart snowpocalypse, that building did comprehensive snow removal from its parking lot. It took seven or eight hours, with a bulldozer and multiple other vehicles, and then they had a nice clear parking lot again. Beautiful stuff.

Very good building to live in. You have a deeded parking space in the back. Excellent condo board and overall good neighbors. I use to live there facing the park. No noise could be heard from the neighbors on either side since there is brick between those units.

I don't live there but yes they are all connected. Not the entire block but most of it. There is a long common hallway that connects the various buildings. The designs and layouts of the apartments vary quite a bit. Many if not all of them have older 1970-80's style electric wall unit heaters/AC. I have looked at a few units in the past and was impressed only by one of them but not enough to buy. The floors and walls seem a bit dicey as far as noise goes. In the basement there was a lot of extra space to which I believe they may have added a small gym a couple years ago. Not positive that actually happened. They also have that large parking-lot behind the building.

That is in fact the case. Except it is not the entire block. It starts a few houses in from Jersey Ave and ends a few houses in from Coles.

So I'm hoping that someone can help we out with a quick history lesson:

I never noticed this before, but the row of houses/apartments on 9th street right across from the park, their doors don't have and locks/latches. Was this entire side of the block converted to a single complex with only 1-2 entrances/exits? Maybe someone who lives there can help clarify.

Thanks
