I would have liked to go - but when called, I was told that they do not recommend it to children 16 years and under. Mine is a bit younger (3) than that, but enjoys kayaking nevertheless.

The folks at the Interpretive Center in Liberty State Park are offering kayak tours which last about 2 hours. Called them today and the following dates are still open:

7/10 @ 10:00am
7/17 @ 12:00pm
7/31 @ 10:00am
8/1 @ 10:00am

The free tours are by reservation only and depart from the southern part of LSP (near the South Lawn and the BBQ area). Call 201-915-3409 for more information.

Did you know....

The Nature Interpretive Center in Liberty State Park was designed by famous postmodern and award winning architect Michael Graves, who is 1 of the ?NY 5.? The building was recently named ?one of the best architecture outings near NYC? by the MOMA and Rutgers University.
