I would be more interested in a Cantonese eating group such as the old Canton restaurant that once was on the Square.

I would be interested in an informal group - I'm a mandarin and cantonese speaker myself, and would like my children to be exposed to Chinese as well (other than from myself).

I haven't taken any language classes at Be Lingual - how much do the children really learn? Do children really learn to speak / write there, or is it just an "exposure"?

TIA

The language and the "alphabet" scare me. I cannot understand even how the CHINESE learn to speak it much less read and write it.

But after a certain age I think our language brain centers shut down pretty tightly so that leaves me out

Good luck though.

How about Contract Bridge for the adults?

Anyone interested in forming a Cantonese language group? Particularly for kids, but maybe adults too.

Be-Lingual have a teacher, so if we can get 5 or 6 kids togeteher we can start somehting more formal. Or if not just have informal gatherings in Jersey City.
