I was actually checking craigslist last night after I posted & saw alot of guys offering to fix it for $40.00 & even some for 35.00. They are saying it will be a permant fix. Some are actually from JC & the local area.
Let us know who does your fix & the result.

I just got a XBOX for cheep that has the ring of death & need it repaired also.
I thought it would be a easy fix & been searching the web for a how to. I think the Game place on Bergen & Montgomery might be able to fix it but havent checked there yet.

Does anyone know of somewhere local I can get my xbox fixed? I have the ring of death and do not have a warranty.
Hoping to be able to drop off and pick up next day if possible somewhere local.
