I recall Moshe ran for school board some years back. He's a rocket scientist, obviously a disqualifier relative to housewives. This suit isn't anti-union, it's anti bullshit. Unfortunately this is going to be a zero sum game, force the teachers union to pay out of dues and they'll require a commensurate raise of salaries. But at least the record will be straight about how many teachers are on the payroll.

The union should pay for their non-teaching service, so 2 teachers can be employed to service our kids - I hope the lawsuit is successful.

Lawsuit targets Jersey City teachers performing full-time union workBy JERSEY CITY -- Conservative watchdog the Goldwater Institute filed a lawsuit today targeting the public-school district for its policy allowing two teachers to devote all of their time to teachers union activities. The lawsuit, filed this afternoon in Hudson County Superior Court, calls the practice -- known as release time -- an unconstitutional and illegal subsidy to the Jersey City Education Association courtesy of New Jersey taxpayers. The two plaintiffs are Moshe Rozenblit and Qwon Kyu Rim. "Jersey City taxpayers are spending millions to pay two people who should be in schools preparing students for their future to sit at a union desk and do work that benefits a private organization, not children," Jon Riches, director of national litigation and general counsel at the Goldwater Institute, said in a statement. "Fortunately, the New Jersey Constitution prohibits the government from spending taxpayer money for purely private purposes."
