He figured he already got away with that, punishing the Port Authority by the truck inspection crackdown that tied up traffic for hours-and didn't want to get caught again.

Lol - true.

Why was the event canceled? Were they afraid that Fulop would be roughed up by a Cristie appointee?

Have you looked out of the window during the last couple of days?

Sissies.

If he didn't cancel, of course, the sheeple would be saying he was ignoring the plight of the average NJ citizen during a 12" snow storm.

On the other hand, how about Snowgate? Will DiBlasio be investigated for not plowing the Upper East Side-which he admitted after 36 hours of denials? Who gave the order to not plow or salt? Let's see the emails! Subpoena the text messages! Tale of Two Cities coming home to roost, lol. Traffic jams galore! Emergency vehicles unable to get through! Buses stuck for hours! Nannies can't push their toddlers because of Snowgate! The humanity!

If a DiBlasio thug did it for political revenge then you got somethin'.

Please vote for a Saint Peter's University Campus Kitchen.

By Saint Peter's University
40% of the food grown in the United States is never eaten. A huge amount of good food ordered by restaurants and supermarkets gets unnecessarily thrown out. Saint Peter's students would love to RECLAIM this food and package it into individual meals which could be delivered to homeless and elderly neighbors in need. We need a Campus Kitchen....

VOTE TO HELP OUR STUDENTS START A CAMPUS KITCHEN! We are in a contest with 6 other schools. The 5 schools with the most votes on their video will win a grant to begin a Campus Kitchen.

GO HERE TO VOTE: http://bit.ly/votestpeters

Let's work together to end hunger and reduce food waste. Our contest competitors are some pretty big schools. We need everybody to get their friends involved and vote daily through January 29!

Vonecia Carswell/The Jersey Journal

Yesterday?s snowstorm may have been bad timing for the governor?s inaugural celebration, but it was the perfect timing for Table to Table, a community-based food rescue program that serves Northeast New Jersey.

Fabulous Foods, which catered the Ellis Island celebration, donated food to Table to Table after the event was canceled. The food will benefit two Jersey City churches.

?We?re so thrilled that this food is going to be used to serve people who really need it, especially in weather like this,? said Ilene Isaacs, Table to Table?s executive director. ?It?s a nice little miracle on this snowy day.?

Rehoboth Church and Thessalonians Community Outreach Church in Jersey City will share about 30 steamer-pan sized trays.

?(Fabulous Foods) have worked with us before,? Isaacs said. ?Certainly, when they saw this abundance of food, they knew who to call.?

Table to Table collects fresh and prepared food from commercial kitchens and establishments that would otherwise be wasted and delivers it to more than 70 agencies that serve the hungry in Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Passaic counties.

Last year, Isaac said, it delivered about 11 million meals, and this year, it expects to reach 13 million.

?This is the perfect example why community food rescue works,? Isaacs said.
