About 50 people turned up tonight to rally in support of the Jersey City redeveloper anti pay-to-play ordinance. But when they got there, Councilman Steve Fulop, the rally's organizer, told them not to do so. Why? Fulop said he thought he had the votes and that he didn't want to antagonize the council with a rally. The protesters didn't come out in vain, however. They came into the City Council meeting, signs and all and spoke in favor of the ordinance.

Um, where were you guys tonight?
Some thoughts on the "revolution" that's supposedly underway in our fair city. "On the day when the first two pins fell in the Great Corruption Scandal of 2009, it seemed the perfect time for reformist elements in the city to build on last month?s day of outrage with a follow-up rally at city hall that would blow the roof off the sucka!
