This is EXACTLY why the public in general is right to be skeptical about "time limited" or temporary tolls: everywhere around the world, temporary tolls end up becoming permanent fixtures because, once the costs of a project are recouped, the politicians will find a way to spend the funds being collected from tolls.

Why does a toll plaza canopy need to be replaced. Isn?t it superfluous? In fact, haven?t they extracted enough tolls already to pay for the bloody turnpike?

Interchange 14B on Turnpike Ext. to close this weekend: Here?s how to deal with it Updated 11:30 AM; Posted 11:30 AM By Patrick Villanova | The Jersey Journal Motorists who plan to use the Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike this weekend should expect traffic and detours around Interchange 14B, which will be closed Friday night through Monday morning. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority has announced the interchange will remain closed from 9 p.m. Friday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
