Yeah. Between Magnolia and Trenton, Waldo and Chestnut. Really nice area, pretty quiet, and you can walk to JSQ or downtown.

Supposedly, this happened on Baldwin Ave. which is more Hilltop or even JSQ.

Man walks into road, struck by SUV

A 70-year-old man was in stable condition last night at Jersey City Medical Center with head injuries after he was hit by an SUV on the 200 block of Baldwin Avenue Thursday afternoon, according to police reports.

A witness said the man, who was walking with a cane and is from Fairview, stumbled into the road in front of the 2000 Nissan Pathfinder just before 5 p.m., reports said.

The 47-year-old Jersey City driver said he was going less than 20 miles per hour with two vehicles in front of him when he saw a shadow in front of him, slammed on the brakes, but hit the pedestrian, reports said.

The driver has not been charged or given any summonses, but the investigation remains open, the report said.
