Re: Frank, the pizza man is running for city council ( Frank's Famous Italian Pizzeria on Monmouth )

As I sat at the merchant eating brunch I saw Frank's truck drive by. The noise didn't bother me much. There were several comments on the street about how crazy he is after it went by. I did find it funny that he was hollering out something to the effect that "all the rich people are moving in and they want to displace the poor". While I agree with his sentiment to a degree it was pretty funny for him to be screaming this out on Grove Street amongst the high end clothing and home goods boutiques, restaurants, and the newly spawned star bucks.

The place looks awesome, and the owner is a really great guy. I recomend trying a sandwich or just stopping in to check it out.

After having our car broken into a few times, and then stolen (right by barrow bar as well) we have considered putting a plank of wood with nails driven in it placed on the seat. I know a guy who did this and found bood on the nails not more than a week later. The prospect of having some bloody guys ass in my car persuaded me not to do it. Plus when my car was stolen, it was broad daylight!

I wish I had the problem of leaving $20 bills laying around unaccounted for. There is always something you can take out or off of a car in order to make some quick $.

The good news with the whole car theft thing is that they are non violent crimes for the most part. That is unless they are caught in the act one day.

Hopefully these are the kids who stole my car in that same area last week? Bravo guys!

My bike was stolen last week. It was chained to the front gate. It was taken in broad daylight. I do not recomend that you leave your bike out front unless you are willing to part with it.

Yeah, I have a great picture from my phone, but I can't figure out how to post it. I was there around 8:30 and it was a total cluster-f. I really hope that they can do something quickly to address the problem. What idiot thought up this new entrance? The entrance gets harder to access with each move they make.

I love it when people decide to sit at the bottom of the stairs. I once saw a guy just sitting on the bottom of the stairs, making an entire rush hour crowd walk around him.

Warm up the car? What about freezing your ass off on your bike? I commend you for being able to bike it each day. That is pretty cool.

I have to say that I have been on my bike on sidewalk on certain JC streets. I'd rather live than violate a bicycle law.

I think Jersey City is taking a lot of steps that Hoboken didn't in order to make sure things are not as bad. I believe that all of these high rise apartments, as ugly as they may be, provide parking as well.

I am sure it will get worst though.

First try parking your car in Hoboken. Then drive back to downtown Jersey City and breath a sigh of relief.

Why are the Grove Street drug bums so agro. I saw one guy ride a bike right smack into a car on purpose. The car was going like 30 mph. The guy went flying. You could say that is also a sign of desperate times.

I saw the Black Maria film festival at the Jersey City Museum. I am sure that the museum could use more events? I never even knew that theater was there before.
