I know of this guy. He is/was married to this very nice looking younger woman who used to walk dogs in the Newport area and also go to school. He used to help her walk the dogs. This was like 10 years ago.
They had a few dogs they walked and then they both disappeared.
According to someone who knew the wife, he was an accomplished painter in his country (can't remember which one but I am guessing Russia)
After that i have seen him alone in VVP always painting something on a tiny canvas, looking at the trees. Maybe he was painting leaves??? He is always looking to talk to me about my dogs and his paintings...sometimes he sings me and my partner hindi songs, but i really cannot understand him. I just avoid him. I haven't seen him for a while guess he moved to HP.

Does this guy have white hair as well. On the short side with a hunched back? Does he speak the few words of English with a Eastern European accent?

There is a store called Hudson photo and studio on Newark. ( not the one that closed by grove street). This store is across from the court house.
They know exactly what the requirements are. Stay away from cvs/ DR for something like Canadian immigration photographs.

It could also mean that they endured suffering or that someone they loved (mother) died while they were incarcerated (eg mother died from a broken heart).
Either way, happy the guy was just punched in the face and no more harm was done to him.

Jcmc is your local and only not for profit hospital in JC. It's a magnet hospital ( nursing excellence) and though I haven't had the need to use the hospital services yet, I would do so if I needed to. In my opinion er's are inundated with people using it for non emergencies which they could just go to their pcp for or people who use the ER as their own PCP. We live in jc so yes we are going to see traumas, ( being a state designated trauma centre) and cops and handcuffs/ restraints, intoxicated patients and psychiatric patients.

Disclaimer: I work at JCMC but not in the ER.

i was a member of Brick Haus. There are plenty of machines and I never had to wait. I have never used the showers so i cannot comment there. The classes are average. They have a schedule online, but it seems that it's less than Club H.
Anyways I now go to Hamilton Health and Fitness. It's a longer walk for me but I love it there. There are only 4-5 treadmills but I never have to wait either. Their showers are clean, fresh towels and pleasant staff. The main reason for me switching is because i wanted a gym with a pool.

I liked Skin Organix a lot, Walkers not so much but now i LOVE Lola- from Caprice beauty Bar. She is on Jersey Ave (previous store Fish with Braids) Her number is 201-961-5571. She is really good with txting/calling.
Lola is the best ever. She takes her time to explain the entire process to me, she always tells me what she is doing ahead of time, how it's going to feel etc.
Her place though small is clean and tastefully decorated. She takes one client at a time, no waiting etc.

Caprice Beauty bar is a great addition to the neighborhood and I recommend anyone considering a facial or waxing to go to her, you won't be sorry.

My husband and I go to Thirty Acres once a week. The food is amazing and i don't care if the reviews give it 2 stars or whatever.
Kevin and Alex are really down to earth, genuine people. Their menu is small but fresh, delicious and always changing. During the storm (tuesday) they opened their doors to everyone and cooked up their food and invited everyone passing by to eat for free.
Yes they do have a sign, it is printed right on the glass window. We try to go early to get seating but last week we want around 8pm and had to sit at the bar, which was a change but we could peek into the kitchen and we loved it nonetheless.
If you haven't been there, give it a try. Maybe your food tastes are different but you'd never know if you like it unless you try it.
Support small business.

It happened at around 1.05pm. My colleague and I just finished our lunch at Taqueria, and we were crossing the street, (towards the boys and girls club). There was a lady in a purple dress also crossing but the opposite way (towards taqueira) We were still in the crosswalk when we heard this loud sound and we turned around to see the traffic light come crashing down. I called 911, and then snapped a few pictures. I noted that no one was hurt (sorry job responsibility) and only while walking back to work realized that we were seconds away from that light crashing down on us. I am sure the lady in purple must be quite shaken up too, as she would be closer to the car. The car is a black SUV seems to be a Rav4. The driver hit it (i did not see how) came out of the vehicle and then went back in and reversed a little. We left as soon as the Sheriff came.

Jersey City non profit charities accepting donations...

We just had a fund raiser at work and we have a bit of money we want to donate to a local charity, preferably one that works with children.

We were going to donate to hudson cradle, but just discovered that they have been closed since July.

Any suggestions. We really want to keep this local too.

Thanks,

i am a nurse now and yes i had to take the HESI and pass with a high score before i could take the boards. It worked for me because passing the boards was a breeze.
Nursing school is difficult but they train you to some extent and the rest is learned on the job.

Maybe i could go to med school but the profession of nursing is way different from being a doctor and wouldn't trade what I do for anything else, on most days.
