Re: parking ticket: motor vehicle nuisance? huh?

It's not a new statute, at least not according to the link to the statute provided above. There, it states that it was passed in September 1994. Which means the cops have just started enforcing this 17 years after the fact. And trust me, you could park partially in a (poorly maintained) red zone w/o consequences for (at least) the last six years. But that's what cops do.

Can someone please explain why the house at the SW corner of 2nd and Erie is not on this list?

I saw one when I was running last week on the grounds of Dickinson HS - out in the open in early morning daylight. I gave him plenty of space.

Thanks, that site was helpful, but leaves a few questions. Is there T-Ball for 6 year olds?

Wow, could that website be any less informative? For example, simple information such as "how old does your child have to be to play," or the age groups and levels, is completely absent. I guess I'll figure it out by myself.

The subject of this thread is that the memorial "will ruin the park's views of the Manhattan skyline!" Which is a fallacy.

Have any of you people ever been to Liberty State Park lately? Because you can't see the memorial from about 95% of the park. If you're to the south and/or west of the Terminal building - which, again, describes about 95% of the park - the monument is blocked from sight by the Terminal building, which is MUCH larger. You can't see it from the salt marsh or from the promenade across from Ellis Island. If anything is "ruining the view" of the skyline in LSP - which was the point of this thread - it's the Terminal building, not the monument.

LITM's beer selection is far from "amazing." For starters, they only hap two taps, one of which is a dedicated Chimay tap. So, if you don't like Belgian beers, your draft selections are extremely limited (especially if they put another belgian-style beer on the other line). Second, they over-emphasize New Jersey brewed beers, which is a mistake, as there are very few good beers brewed in-state. (Sorry Riverhorse, Cricket Hill and NJ Beer, you're just not that good). Skinners, with fewer total options, does a much better job bringing in quality craft beers on their rotating taps, and Barcade annilihates LITM on selection.

I guess this explains all the a-holes honking their horns on Erie Street tonight.

That photo looks a lot like the hawk that's been visiting the tree in my backyard (Erie St. & 2nd) every evening for the last few weeks. I'm not sure it's a red-tail, as I think it looks more like a Cooper's hawk.

Quote:

Much of the crime in the area (car break-ins) has actually been on the block between 2nd and 3rd. And what is on both sides of the block there? CHURCHESuntil caught (like the car breakins last year).

The east side of Erie between 2nd and 3rd has strip of broken windshield glass the runs almost the entire length of the block. You would think the cops would notice this.

I'm curious as to why the previous poster has such a problem with Jaime. Can you explain? We're thinking of using him on a job. Thx.
