There are nut jobs everywhere I don't know what you expect? I mean ok i've seen an all out brawl take place in front of the Pathmark on grand. Oh and about why the one on Grand looks the worst is because it got renovated the most recently. The last renovated Pathmark i know of was the edgewater one so it looks the nicest.

Hell the A&P(Food Emporium) in fort lee has its fair of hostile customers. Its also a lot nicer then any supermarket in JC and has a full liqour section open til 2 am in the store. God go back to the midwest ya damn hipsters. People fight it happens.

no they aren't treated equally. Its called alimony. Its called maternity leave. Why shouldn't a father be allowed to help with his new born child.

Well the idea that men need to give up their seat harkens back to the days before we were all equal, and thats all I am saying. I fully agree its about manners, and I would happily give my seat up to a preggers or a old person, but so should an able bodied woman. Thats all I am saying. Its not all on guys shoulders.

Where is the proof we are all equal? As far as I was told the ERA was never ratified. I just don't act like a gentleman because when I'm on the path with around 40 pounds of equipment people aren't even nice enough to try to move out of the way let alone give me a seat.

Sorry anything with regularly used plumbing. The making 2 units to 3 is a huge problem though. City planning doesn't take into account this and now you have a parking crisis. I knew i should've gone into politics. My pockets need to be lined well. Though I don't want envelopes of cash. I prefer a shoe box. I'm around a size 12 to 13. Please fill it.

This might only apply to restaurants and other eateries(delis, coffee shops, etc). I know of a few businesses that have opened up with no under the table deals. Though they are only retailers.

The big question is shouldn't the captain go down with the ship? Most of these people were hired by or voted in with Healy.

They're all time bombs waiting to go off.

How tinted? and which windows? New Jersey law says only the back windows can be tinted. File a report or something against him if the front ones are. If he won't resign you can always make his life harder. Plus someone in public office should know they are not above the law no matter how small it is.

sigh. wrong wrong wrong. 900 man police force. To my knowledge around 2/3 are brass and detectives. That means they ride a desk most of the day. So you really only have 100 per 8 hour shift. Though then there are those on vacation sick leave, pulling doubles and not operating at full functional capacity.

So about 100 per shift, if that. You also have non brass who problaly just are at desk duty. We need more cops on the street, on foot and not in wheeled vechiles.

My neighbors are real neighbors. Even with the big shift in the place, there is a sense that the place is more stable than other neighborhoods- a greater proportion of people viewing it as their home rather than their waystation- although there are enough people passing through to keep it interesting. No, no Starbucks. Would really like Legal Beans to open something though. Doubt that there will be enough people in the area to support something like that for another ten years.

Re: ????Info on obtaining R1 driveway variance???

This used to drive me insane. Ok one your all assuming its a full driveway and not just a car port. I have seen many a single car car ports that cut the sidewalk and not offer less space. Not only that, but people save the port for friends or other members of the family and do not park in their own "driveway" on the street and block it themselves, but take up more spaces. Driveways also take away a spot and 1/4 to and a spot and a half. The driveway it self on the sidewalk always takes up more then one car. This also affects pedestrians because i'm sure we've all seen people who think its ok to leave their car on the sidewalk also because its their driveway. Also the ones with driveways and garages also deem that the sidewalk they cut seems to be the size of almost the entire front of the property therefore cutting away more street parking. Also for those of you who say driveways are for keeping your car safe. Its not. It takes around a minute to steal a car, its still out in the open and can be targeted unless it is in a garage.

Are you looking for regular work or summer work? Depending on your major why not try tutoring privately? I give private music lessons for around $50 to $75 an hour. The work can be slow at times, but saying that you can teach always looks good on your resume even if you are not a teacher.

Jersey drivers are not used to pedestrians as much? People need to re learn to look both ways maybe? It is true that the police need to enforce things a bit more around here, but maybe some drivers are still scared to drive in this area. How many car jackings have been reported this year? How many stray bullets have gone by in the area? I am not making an excuse for the drivers that hit & run, but if one thing is certain the jersey city police just are not making their presence known anywhere.

Wow hes an idiot. Ironically I met him in a supermarket in Edgewater(not a fancy one) late one night and he lives up to his name. Though he insults mechanics and bakers yet the mechanic put the 22's on his car and owns the custom shop and the bakers of the world are getting tv deals like "cake boss" and "ace of cakes."

The schools should have him there to talk about fat entertainers who die of heart attacks and not on education.

Dealer usually is the best option. I like the one on cityline. I forget the actual name but for around $30 you get an oil change, tire rotation, and a car wash. Just watch out they will sell you on everything. Just remember the dealer recommended maintenance periods for your tranny and engine flushes, etc.

The density issue isn't an issue. I say this because the people are already illegally living there anyway and maybe parking here anyway. The city is just trying to get what they deserve. Parking in urban areas has always been an issue.

Ok why are people allowed to smoke in Abby's? I thought they outlawed smoking inside, except for establishments where most of the money is made off tobacco. I know they sell hookah there, but seriously I cannot imagine a large percentage of their profit is off of it.

At least the honking tour could report a crime if they saw one. Almost two-thirds of our police force are brass. That means that most of them are desk jockeys or only come out for special circumstances. Healy blatantly breaks the law while he is present at the path this afternoon with a damn campaign van of his idling while spewing out its message.. I do not care how small the infraction is, but breaking any law as the mayor is corrupt and he should look back at himself.

A similar incident happened to me at the same intersection. I was walking across the street with the walk from the McDonald's. A few cars were trying to turn going away from the water and when rolled behind me a woman rolled down her window and called me an "a**hole." It took a lot for me to not actually run after the car.
