Yesterday morning I was riding the train during rush hour. I was in the second car from the front near where the conductor stands. The entire time from Newport to Christopher St. the conductor was flirting with one of the female passengers. We pulled into Christopher St. and as you know that means the conductor has to move into the front car in order to open the doors on the other side of the train. As the train was stopped in the station the conductor continued to flirt with this lady for almost another minute while passengers started staring and wondering why the doors weren't opening. Unreal.

I have on numerous occasions seen the conductors ask people to remove themselves from that space - I thought as a courtesy I would make them aware that they might be asked to move and it might not be best place to stand - I was pretty friendly about it to. They got pissed at me!

The woman gave me a nasty look and said they have been riding in this spot all week and were never asked to move - I was like, 'What do I know, I have only been riding the PATH for years.'

To my chagrin the conductor never appeared - oh well - but two of their retarded children tried riding along without holding onto something - both fell into other people on the train - idiots.

How about doing me a favor and going home.

I thought plate sharing charges only applied to people who didn't order anything or ordered a small amount.

so - we paid it, much to my anger! (we had little cash, otherwise, I would've just left cash, minus the $4 and walked out - but we had to put it on a debit card)...my hubby told the owner that we would never be back...she said, "fine." what?! we were such loyal patrons - spent a lot of money there - and we are good tippers and don't expect much. even when the waitstaff was extremely unattentive at times - we still didn't complain.

oh well - we've now written off two JC establishments: Hard Grove - cuz it just plain sucks now. and Brownstone. Thank God for the Coach House which rocks my socks.
