I agree. Let's nip it in the bud asap. Get out the pitchforks.

Could be "crusty punks" who are ever so prevalent in the east village. These are not "hippies". More like squatters, some of which are involved in low level crime and general neighborhood degradation.

I saw those guys. I don't think hippy is quite the right word. They looked more like squatters, or Occupy Wall Street types after a couple weeks without showers. They had sleeping bags and other stuff, and looked like they might've spent the night in the park. I did notice people were sort of giving them wide berth.

They were friendly, but one of them acted as though he was aware that their presence freaked out some people in the neighborhood. Then last night, there was an yellow police tape placed around the bench where these kids had been hanging out.

Who were those kids and what happened to them? Does anyone know?
If you can recall what it?s like to be a ?hippy? during the 60?s, perhaps you are having a ?flashback? from a past acid trip . . .don?t worry it will go away in a decade or so.

When you start seeing the lost boys and Mary Poppins in VVP, we need to have a talk.
