Their food is really good, but I almost never go there because it is a total sty. They always have garbage everywhere, a crying baby, and family members sitting around. I can't imagine a worse way to present your storefront.

Jersey City pizzeria set ablaze in second consecutive arson fire, officials say
Mark Maurer/The Jersey Journal

A Jersey City pizzeria was doused in gasoline and set ablaze Friday morning in what appears to be an arson fire, officials said. A 2008 Honda Pilot belonging to the business? owner parked adjacent to the three-story building was also set on fire, sources said.

Firefighters arrived to San Vino Pizzeria, 3204 Kennedy Blvd., around 3:20 a.m., and determined that the window was intentionally broken and the first-floor interior suffered moderate damage, Fire Director Armando Roman said.

The pizzeria was the scene of a previous arson fire on Sept. 30, but no arrests were made, sources said.

The fire did not spread to the top two residential floors, and there were no injuries, Roman said.

Sources said the back bumper and the driver?s side of the car was burnt. But the whereabouts of the owner was unknown, Roman said.

Police are presently investigating the matter, officials said.
