DIesel and Duke said on Instagram today that they are renovating for a few weeks, and when I just peeked inside, I can see people working there (at 5 on a Friday!) and the menu above the counter still intact, so hopefully they'll be back soon.

just drove by Diesel and Duke on 2nd & Monmouth, and saw it was papered over.

Restaurants are not immune to the retail apocalypse slamming businesses across the U.S. With fast-food chains and franchises continuing to expand, the competition just keeps growing. (As do the costs of running a restaurant business).
