I never tried Tommy 2 Scoops and I've regretted every time (3) that I've gone to Brightside. Went there with the wife a few weeks ago because we had a friend performing at a brunch comedy show. The service, as usual, was weird and borderline non-exsistant. i ordered banana pancakes but I was served strawberry. i didn't bother sending them back because I had already waited over 30 minutes, but i wish I did because they had the taste and consistency of play-doh. I ordered a second bloody mary, which never came out, but I got billed for it anyway. Waitress was unapologetic and basically rolled her eyes and walked away with the check after I brought it to her attention. Before leaving I hit the bar for a drink, but the beer i asked for was kicked, so they had to tap a fresh keg, which after about 15-20 minutes of 2 people trying, was unsuccessful. That place is a mess and i always find Tommy overly-intrusive and annoying in his attempts to be friendly with the costumers. It's too bad because that section of JC could use a decent sit-down restaurant/bar.

Anyone know what's going on with Tommy's?
Went by twice now and they haven't been open!
They are my favorite Gelato place in all of Jersey City. I hope they are just doing some remodeling!
