It's a good idea but you gotta post a floor plan including exactly where plumbing fixtures and gas lines are. Every house is different. Even from L to R side sometimes. It may be too hard to do without major construction of a plumbing chase through whatever is above and below you.

Ideas on how to split the kitchen/bathroom to the middle of the apartment allowing bedroom seperation?
Where are the water/drain and gas service pipes run? Or any links to services who can do this type of gut renovation? thanks....
