on March 04, 2015 at 12:42 PM, updated March 04, 2015 at 12:52 PM A Passaic County man has been charged with stabbing a 38-year-old man on a PATH train during Tuesday night's rush hour in Manhattan, Port Authority police announced. Michael Stadford, 42, of Paterson was arrested yesterday morning after Port Authority police officers picked him up at Newark Penn Station, Port Authority Police Department spokesman Joe Pentangelo said. Stadford was wanted for the non-fatal stabbing of a man aboard a PATH train traveling between 33rd and 23rd streets at around 5:40 p.m. The victim, who was stabbed in the chest, is in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, Pentangelo said.
