Home away from home

I had really good luck putting my couch on eBay. After not being able to give it away with a pickup via Salvation Army and various other charities, I put it up on eBay and someone paid me $60 for it. Just make sure on eBay (or wherever you post it) "Buyer responsible for picking up couch from current location."

couldnt find the swap/sell JC group.
I did think about using Craigslist or freecycle...but the problem is timing it with getting the replacement sofa...

As per a separate link here, I'd take a poto and put it on the new Swap/Sell JC page on Facebook. If you're not on Facebook, ask a friend to help you. The couch will probably be picked right up.
Good luck.

I'm about to move myself and just went through this myself. I ended up going with 1800gotjunk. They were pricey but i'm no longer a young man, so I couldn't be bothered with heavy lifting so I went along with it. They are also handy when it comes to getting rid of electronics because it's getting increasingly difficult to throw stuff out.
If your sofa is still in usable condition, you may consider freecycle, getting rid of your unwanted goods to those who want or need it. You'll be introducing strangers into your home so maybe that's not an option... http://groups.freecycle.org/freecycle-hudsoncounty-nj/description

Looking to get rid of a heavy sleeper/sofa from a 2nd floor walkup in Paulus Hook. Can anyone recommend anyone?
Thanks in advance.
