Closing Columbus would be a nightmare. It's DT's main thoroughfare to and from the TPK. awful idea.

CC Drive /RR Ave. would make sense width wise but for length and probably the only full length street in J.C. I think Montgomery St. could suffice. It is centralized and enables everyone in the city from east to west to partisipate.

the Park Avenue Tunnel installation was a lot of fun this past Saturday.
I have always hope we do something along these lines in Jersey City - perhaps Columbus Dr.

Manhattan is having a car free street Saturdays called Summer Streets. This is an opportunity for cyclists, runners, walkers, skateboarders and then some. It will be held the next two Saturdays August 10th & 18th from 7am till 1pm the route is from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park along Lafyette-4th Ave.-Park Ave. turning on 72nd St.
