If its not your correct plate, u don't pay!
This happendd to me a few times, they would put a different number or mix the numbers on the plate, they do this as a courtesey (however u spell that word).

Yes, I screwed up admittedly.
But when I try to put my ticket number and my license plate online to pay, and it doesn't show up, then no need for me to be paying for their mistake.

Oh I thought it was just an extra letter in sequence, with that probably not then. The worse thing is that you get a letter from the court for an unpaid parking ticket, for all they know it might have gotten blown off the car. I wouldn't mind taking a chance on it, see what happens. BTW did you park wrong ?

I'm guessing that being I can't even match the ticket number with my real license plate online, that there is no chance that they can link that to my real car (or me).

I got a ticket for street sweeping today.
They put the wrong plate number on it. They added an additional letter (can't even pay it online unless I put in the bad plate number). Anyone have a clue if I should just tear this thing up or do I need to take a day off and sit in court.
