The street value of 379 Molly pills is about half of that figure.

SOMERVILLE ? Two Jersey City men are in jail facing charges of possession with intent to distribute $8,000 worth of ecstasy pills after they were arrested yesterday, July 16, in Franklin Township.
Rinkesh Patel, 24, and Peter Phan, 21, were arrested by detectives from Franklin Township and from the county Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force after the Prosecutor?s Office was tipped off that a man would be in the area of an Easton Avenue restaurant in Franklin Township with ?Mollie? pills, MDMA, better known as ecstasy. According to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano, detectives had the restaurant under surveillance at about 5:15 p.m. when Patel arrived in the parking lot, driving a white Acura TL. Phan was his passenger. Soriano said that the men parked, got out of the car and then Phan went into the trunk before the pair got back into the car and drove off onto Foxwood Drive. At that point, detectives stopped the car and searched it, Soriano said. They found a brown glass jar with 379 clear capsules containing suspected ecstasy. According to Soriano, the pills have a street value of about $8,000. Both defendants are charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute. They were taken to the county jail with bail set for each of them at $75,000 cash or bond.JJ
