I ended up going to Esquire of Wall St. Just a quick ride via the PATH and not too expensive. They take walk-ins as well. Just ask for a guy to do the shave, I think they have a better idea of how to treat a beard.

Hello all,
Im looking for a good, old-fashion barbershop that does a hot shave the right way. Anyone know of any by grove st area? If open on sunday, even better, but i guess that would not make them old-fashioned! Thanks!

Being at Joe's is like being in the neighborhood. Get there early though. It's on the corner of Griffith St. across from #25 school up in the Heights.

My beard has gotten a bit out of control over the past couple months and my razor trembles at its sight. Anyone know a good place to get a shave, preferably Downtown or Journal Square?
