PSE&G says roughly 100 residents evacuated in Jersey City due to natural gas pipe leak
January 22, 2012, 2:47 PM By Charles Hack/The Jersey Journal Roughly 100 people have been evacuated from their homes on Pacific Avenue in Jersey City due to a natural gas leak, a PSE&G spokeswoman said this afternoon. The leaking 20-inch high-pressure gas main is located at Pacific Avenue and Ash Street, according to the spokeswoman, who said crews would be working through the day and evening to fix the pipe. The leaking pipe is located near the Lafayette Seniors Living Center but residents there have not been evacuated, officials said today
