By Charles Hack/The Jersey Journal

City cops nabbed four suspects, seized two guns and discovered dozens of bags of heroin and marijuana during a drug bust Friday night, according to police reports.

Dante J. Brown, 20, of Clendenny Avenue, Malik J. Holloway, 19, of New Heckman Drive, Tymil Holmes, 18, of Garfield Avenue, and Christopher A. Gosa, 21, of Wales Avenue, were slapped with several charges including possession of weapon for unlawful purposes, drug possession near a school and public property, and assault on a police officer, reports said.

Undercover cops were watching Friday at 10:56 p.m. as Brown and Holloway walked up to a blue van parked on Winfield Avenue and removed weapons from behind the driver?s side front tire, reports said.

Brown hid a rifle inside his jacket while Holloway stuffed a semi-automatic handgun in his waste band, reports said.
At the time of the incident, Brown and Holloway were near Holmes and Gosa and when cops announced themselves, all four men ran, reports said.

Roughly nine undercover cops ran them down and subdued them, reports said, noting that Holloway punched a police sergeant in the chest.

Police recovered a Ruger 9mm semi-automatic handgun and clip from the yard loaded with ten 9 mm Lugar rounds, reports said. Holloway had tossed the gun into a yard, reports said.

When they searched Holloway, cops found 24 bags of suspected marijuana in his pants pocket along with $419 in suspected drug money, reports said.

Cops chased Brown and Holmes into an apartment building on Ocean Avenue where Brown tossed the rifle he was carrying behind a washer dryer in the laundry room, and Holmes threw 11 bags of suspected heroin on the floor, reports said.

Gosa was arrested on outstanding warrants, police said.
