Jersey City woman suffers second-degree burns over 45 percent of her body in fire in two-family home on Stegman Street, fire director says

One person was injured yesterday in a large fire at 56 Stegman St. in Jersey City, Fire Director Armando Roman said.
The 12:56 p.m. blaze was in a ?two-story, wood-frame, two-family building and the fire was under control by 2:06 p.m.,? Roman said.
A 45-year-old woman suffered second-degree burns on 45 percent of her body, Roman said. He said the fire was most likely caused by an accidentally dropped cigarette.
According to Roman, another resident helped save the victim when the Fire Department arrived at the scene.
