View Larger Map Police arrest of two Jersey City boys suspected of burglarizing car in Heights Published: Thursday, August 18, 2011, 3:00 AM By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal A speedy police investigation led to the arrests of two Jersey City boys on charges they burglarized a Heights car yesterday morning, reports said. Officers on patrol at Bowers Street and Palisade Avenue at 3:12 a.m. stopped the 17-year-old after seeing him trying to open the doors of parked cars and they found he had a pocketful of coins, reports said. The 15-year-old then walked over and police found he had a GPS with a car charger, the detachable face of a car stereo, several pairs of sunglasses, a car key, and coins, reports said. The officers found the last location programmed on the GPS was on Hutton Street and they went there and checked parked vehicles until they found one with its door unlocked, reports said. They went to the owner?s nearby apartment and he identified the GPS as the one missing from his car, reports said. The boys were charged with burglary, attempted burglary and theft, reports said.
