View Larger Map Suspicious package in Jersey City turns out to contain unusual paperwork Published: Saturday, July 30, 2011, 3:00 AM By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal A device made to look like an improvised bomb was found on a Jersey City sidewalk Thursday and police found unusual paperwork and diagrams inside, officials said yesterday. Officers responding to Sterling Avenue at 11 a.m. immediately evacuated a residence and closed the street after finding several packages tied with yellow ?caution? tape on the sidewalk, reports said. A sweep determined there were no incendiary devices and an Emergency Services Unit officer then made the package safe, reports said. Inside the package was paperwork that including the address of a McAdoo Avenue man and writing about various people, death and Babylon, reports said. Inside the package, police also found a Madison Square Garden seating chart with writing on it, another diagram, and information related to the Army National Guard, reports said. Portions of the information on the incident report were not released by police.
