Belleville is a good recommendation. Two other shops that come to mind are Camrod on 11th Ave in Manhattan (surprisingly reasonable) and the bmw/triumph/ducati/honda/kawasaki multiplex in Metuchen (worth the trip!).

closest place would be in manhattan. in jersey, motorcycle mall in belleville is your best bet.

I tired the Vespa dealer, but like I expected everything they have is geared towards scooters. Anyone know of a decent shop or motorcycle dealer around JC where I can pick up a new helmet and jacket?
