Standard is great. yeah, but quite expensive relative to the big boxes. It really depends on what you want. If you're into classic white subway tiles and B&W pinwheel floors, or can be satisfied picking from a limited selection, you can do better at Lowes. I think it cost more for 30 black ogee trims from Standard than all the rest of the tile in the bathroom!

If big box fixtures aren't your thing, try General Plumbing in Bayonne, just over the JC line on JFK. One more thing, American Standard Cadet 3 toilets are by far the best flushing and best value. Kicks the butt of our Gerber with a Sloan Powerflush.

Standard Tile on the Boulevard is the best. I'm actually not sure if they have plumbing fixtures, etc. But they are superior with regard to tiling materials and their knowledge.

We're renovating our bathrooms. Any suggestions on places where we can buy plumbing fixtures ( toilets and sinks) and tiles?
