Do you think they were coming from the Park Tavern -- it is right there -- perhaps someone at the Park Tavern knows more.
Is Al's Diner open that late -- that is only a few blocks away.

Man knocked out by thug on street
A 36-year-old Jersey City man was knocked unconscious when he was punched in the face early Saturday morning, police reports said.
The victim and his wife told police they had been at West Side Avenue and Communipaw Avenue at 1:50 a.m., walking home from a bar, when a man approached from behind and started yelling "What? What?" for no apparent reason and punched the victim in the face.
