Jersey City woman's home allegedly entered by ex-lover in what police say is a second violation of restraining order

A Dumont woman who led police on a 150-mile chase while threatening to kill her ex-girlfriend has again been charged with violating a restraining order after allegedly entering the woman's Jersey City home.

Eleanore Valdenarro, 44, was arrested Wednesday night in her hometown on a warrant from Jersey City charging her with violating the restraining order on March 15 when she allegedly entered the Greenville home of her former lover, officials said.

Valdenarro's children, ages 16, 18, and 23, attended yesterday afternoon's hearing, at which time she made her first appearance in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City via link from the Hudson County jail in Kearny.

Valdenarro was last arrested and charged with violating the restraining order in September, officials said.

Valdenarro made headlines on Sept. 4, 2009, when at 7:20 p.m. police received a phone call from the Jersey City woman saying she was in Valdenarro's Ford Explorer and Valdenarro would not let her out.

The vehicle was in Cranbury heading south on the New Jersey Turnpike, officials said.

Officers spotted the SUV about 10 minutes later, but Valdenarro refused to pull over and troopers followed the Explorer to the Delaware Memorial Bridge, where Valdenarro turned around and headed back north, police said.

She eventually got off at Exit 14A and was arrested in Bayonne, reports said.
