In Manhattan there's Doyle and Doyle, which deals in antique fine jewelry. There is also a place near the path called Pippin, which has a mix of vintage/antique precious and semi-precious things, I believe.

If you're looking for vintage costume jewelry, check out Another Man's Treasure (just off Grove St.) or Hoboken Antiques (Washington St. in Hoboken). For high end, real "estate" jewelry, you may have to go into Manhattan.
