Jersey City police say Linden motorcyclist injured in collision is ticketed for careless driving

A Linden man was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center after his motorcycle collided with a car on Communipaw Avenue yesterday afternoon and he was cited for careless driving, officials said.

Luis R. Sala, 34, of Sheffield Avenue, told police that at 12:49 p.m. he was trying to park his Subaru Impressa when the Yamaha driven by Carl K. Johnson, 21, slammed into it, reports said.

Witnesses told police Johnson was driving carelessly and passed the Subaru improperly, reports said.

Johnson told police the Subaru cut him off, reports said, adding that police cited him for improper passing and careless driving. Johnson was taken to the Medical Center complaining of pain.
