The Newport Neighborhood Assn. Inc. ("NNA") is excited to be hosting our fourth annual multi-cultural Festival on Saturday, September 25th in Town Square Place (the old Pavonia Avenue) from NOON to 7:00 pm. This is just across from the Pavonia Newport PATH Station.

The NNA invites you to enjoy a diverse array of talent from several cultures, as well as cuisine, select wines and beers, raffles and fun for the kids. There will be performances and shows for every age group.

Headlining is Newport's own Brady Cudmore, a teen pop sensation under Newport resident David Musial's One World Artists label, who will perform with his band Aphrodesia. Expect a rocking show with some Michael Jackson tunes, dance numbers and more.

Doo Wop legends "Select Blendz" will sing a capella classics from the 1950s and 1960s such as "Under the Boardwalk".
Grove Street Bicycles talented extreme sports cyclists will put on a bike show with ramps, lifts and air acrobatics never before performed at the NNA Festival, a major highlight this year.

ANEJO, a popular Latin band fronted by singer and Newport employee Willie Maldonado, will get everyone in the mood to dance and move their hips.

We'll then be electrified by the dance movements of Ayesha's Bollywood Funk NYC.

Chinese Boy will perform a few songs on an authentic ARHOO and then the New Tang Dynasty dancers will take us to the Orient with their graceful movements. Haiti's Divine Inspiration dancers will also perform.

The children's portion of the Festival will include the Kala's Newport Dance Ensemble, and, re-appearing from last year's hit Festival are Muhammad Bilal's Childrens' Classical Music Ensemble, a compilation of up to a few dozen of the best young violin players in New Jersey.

There will be face painters, clowns and Newport's own LEGOMASTER will have his enticing and ample display of Legos for kids available for your child to enjoy.

This year's Festival is a Charity Benefit to raise funds for the NNA Scholarship Fund and will honor the lifetime achievements of a special honoree, and point attendees to the elegant display of the NNA Raffle table and the NNA members selling Raffle tickets, the select restaurants serving culinary delights and assorted merchants.
