Fired from job, Jersey City man returns with machetes to kill beauty salon owner, cops say
By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal March 16, 2010, 4:36PM
A Jersey City man has been charged with wielding two machetes while threatening to kill his ex-boss and her brother at a Greenville beauty salon shortly after she fired him yesterday evening, officials said.
Albenis Pieters-Rosa, 28, of Old Bergen Road at Linden Avenue, was arrested at his home at 5:19 p.m. and charged with making terroristic threats, weapons offenses and resisting arrest, reports said.
Officers were flagged down at the beauty salon near Pieters-Rosa's home by the brother of the salon owner, reports said. The owner and Pieters-Rosa argued after she fired him and he threatened to kill both siblings, reports said.
Pieters-Rosa returned later waving the machetes outside the salon and ordered the brother and sister to come out so he could kill them, reports said, adding that the victims stayed put and Pieters-Rosa eventually went home.
Police arrested Pieters-Rosa in his home after finding two machetes hidden inside his oven, reports said, adding that he resisted being handcuffed and refused to walk when taken to the patrol car.
