A 20-year-old Jersey City man and a 16-year-old boy were charged Monday night with striking three young female victims and robbing them of two cell phones.
The victims - ages 16, 18, and 19 - told cops they were walking near Kensington and West Side avenues at around 7:15 p.m. when three males walked up to them.
One of the men grabbed one of the victims by her neck and demanded her cell phone, while the other men hit the other victims with their fists, reports said. The attackers made away with two cell phones worth $140, reports said.
But cops put the women in the back seat of a police cruiser to look for the men and they found Dashawn Glaster, 20, of Stevens Avenue, at Kennedy Boulevard and Fairview Avenue, reports said.
Other cops spotted the teen robbery suspect in front of a store on Summit Avenue.
