After threatening a 68-year-old sales clerk at a Jersey City liquor store Saturday afternoon, a would-be robber fled the store when a customer emerged from the store bathroom, police reports said.
The sales clerk at King Liquors on Sip Avenue near Garrison Avenue told cops that a man wearing a ski mask entered the store at about 3:30 p.m., reports said.
The man demanded money and brandished a weapon that police believe was some kind of tool, reports said.
But when the 48-year-old customer emerged from the bathroom, the robber ran out the store, reports said.
