Man shot in hand on Belmont Avenue, police said

Cops are looking for a shooter who hit a 19-year-old Danforth Avenue man in the hand with a small caliber weapon last night, police said.

The victim was smoking in front of 92 Belmont Ave. at 9:15 p.m. when a black Acura pulled up slowly and fired two shots. The victim began to run east towards Monticello Avenue, while the car drove off west on Bergen Avenue, police said.

When the victim stopped in front of 165 Monticello Avenue he realized he had been hit. He was treated at Jersey City Medical Center, police said.

The victim chose not to cooperative with police on the investigation, police said.
