A shooter entered a 20-year-old Jersey City man's home early yesterday and shot him in the leg while he was in bed, police reports said.
Police were called to the Bayside Terrace house at 2:10 a.m. where they found the victim sitting on his bed with a friend holding a towel against his lower right leg to stop the bleeding, reports said.
The victim, who lives with his parents, told police he was in bed when the shooter, a man who wore a black fur hat, came to his doorway and shot him, reports said.
But witnesses said the man believed to be the shooter knocked on the front door and was let into the house. The man walked to the rear bedroom and fired one shoot before leaving through the front door, witnesses said according to reports.
The victim was treated at the Jersey City Medical Center where he was listed in a stable condition.
