West New York man robbed at gunpoint in Jersey City

A 60-year-old West New York man was robbed at gunpoint yesterday while visiting 188 Carteret Ave. in Jersey City. A 60-year-old West New York Man was robbed and assaulted in Jersey City last night.
The man was on the second floor of 188 Carteret Ave. between 8:50 and 9 p.m. when he saw two people lying on the ground and two people standing over them, police said. One of the men was holding a black, semiautomatic handgun and approached the victim and demanded money. The gunman struck the victim in the back of the head with the gun.
The victim reached in his pocket and threw $20 on the floor. The victim told police the gunman struck him again and he fell to the ground.
The victim told police suspects all fled the scene using the Ocean Avenue stairwell, police said.
