President Clinton, Jon Bon Jovi in Jersey City, help raise $18.7 million for charity

Former President Bill Clinton signs autographs during a fundraising event yesterday at the ICAP offices in Downtown Jersey City.The charity event that drew former President Bill Clinton, Jon Bon Jovi, golfing great Jack Nicklaus and racing star Danica Patrick to Jersey City yesterday raised $18.7 million worldwide, the sponsoring company reports.
ICAP, an international interdealer brokerage with a trading floor in Downtown Jersey City, has hosted the annual one-day extravaganza at all of its offices since 1993.
Adding to the festive nature of the day, many of the staffers dress in costumes.
?To be able to raise $18.7 million for charity in one day in the current environment is an incredible achievement for the financial services industry,'' CEO Michael Spencer said in a news release. "Funds raised through the support of our customers, staff, the charities and their patrons will help over 120 worthy causes globally this year.?
