View Larger Map Man injured outside bar in Heights Tuesday, August 25, 2009 A Jersey City man was assaulted in the area of Irving Street and Kennedy Boulevard on Saturday, police said. The 21-year-old man and his girlfriend were in a bar at the corner of Irving and the Boulevard when he stepped outside. When the girlfriend went outside, she found her boyfriend beaten and prone on the sidewalk, police said. She took him by taxi to Christ Hospital where police questioned the couple about 10:30 p.m., reports said. But the man was unable to speak because of the injury to his jaw and the girlfriend didn't see anyone around him by the time she went outside, reports said. PAUL TAKAHASHI
