God Damn it, When the hell is Healy going to get tough on crime and get these animals on the street. I don't want to hear he cannot do any thing. We need more police. Crime needs to be seriously addressed.
Can crime be eliminated? No, but it can be put under control. With solid community policing strategies and adequate resources, we can attack crime ? take back our streets and take back our community. Healy: you ran both times on a platform of safer streets, more policing and you failed us.

Jersey City man beaten in revenge attack

A Jersey City man was beaten and slashed in the Heights section Thursday night, apparently as retribution for calling police on a previous occasion, officials said.

When police were dispatched to Webster and Reservoir avenues at 10:06 p.m., the 30-year-old victim told them he was assaulted by a group of about 25 people, including a man with whom he'd had a previous incident, reports said.

The victim said he had just gotten home from work when the man said "Why did you call the cops on me before?" and took up a fighting stance, reports said. The attacker then said "Come on. Jump on his back" and members of the group began punching the victim in the head, reports said.

During the assault, the assailant took out a razor or knife and cut the victim before running away, reports said. The victim suffered cuts to his upper back, left cheek, left ear and a large cut to the left side of his torso, reports said.
