I don't think you are a defender of The Beacon as evidenced by your past posts, BUT you learned from reading that obviously the auctions must have been successful for the other buildings to follow suit. It is NOT the buildings but our economy that is driving this stuff. We are all in the soup, but some of us are swimming in it NOT drowning.

HOBOKEN - Looking for a new home? 14 luxury condos, in two new residential buildings in Hoboken, are on the auction block this week.

Eight condos at 1300 Park Ave., owned by Fields Development Group, will be up for auction, while the final six homes at 517 Jackson St., owned by TreeTop Development, are available.

Suggested opening bids will start at $150,000 for the condos, which were originally priced from $419,000 to $619,000. Five of the homes will be sold "absolute" regardless of price. Sheldon Good & Company Auctions Northeast will conduct the auction.

The auction will take place tomorrow at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City, 2 Exchange Place. Registration begins at 6 p.m., with the auction beginning at 7.

1300 Park is set in a restored vintage brick building. Each two-and three-bedroom home ranges from 900 to 950 square feet, with high ceilings, bamboo wood floors and custom lighting. Kitchens feature Frigidaire stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry with soft-close drawers, and blizzard white Caesar Stone countertops.

517 Jackson St. is a five-story building that features two-bedroom homes ranging in size from 1,140 to 1,500 square feet. The homes feature gourmet kitchens with stainless steel GE appliances, oversized blizzard white quartz countertops and island, and espresso-hued cabinetry. Large master-bedroom suites feature walk-in closets and master baths. There are in-home washers and dryers, a common back yard area, and secured parking.

For more information on the auction call (212) 213-9770 or e-mail auctionrequest@sheldongood.com.
