That's a usual perk of being a cop--they protect you. If one of us did something our names would be repeated at least three times and they would give addresses. It doesn't surprise me as a lot of cops are alcoholics and most of them have huge power issues.

Soo is he still an officer or what? How come they cant find what car everyone drives? The victim cant identify who this guy is, "domestic incident". Does he go by the name of John Doe?
Great story.

Jersey City cops on the lookout for officer apparently involved in domestic dispute
by Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal
Friday July 03, 2009, 2:42 PM

Jersey City cops are trying to track down a city police officer who was apparently involved in a domestic incident before leaving the scene in a private car, according to radio transmissions.

Police are trying to locate the officer, who is said to be carrying his service weapon, and they are keeping an eye out for his vehicle, radio transmissions said.

Officers have been told to bring the officer, who was not identified, to any police station other than the South District, where the other individual involved in the domestic incident was apparently brought.

Police Chief Tom Comey said he had no comment on the matter at this time.
